Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Yash Raj’s Next

Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have been busy working on Yash Raj FIlm’s next release in England. With plenty of onlookers and leaked photos, the YRF’s camp releases the first official image with the following message:

“Yash Chopra’s next directorial venture starring the king of romance, Shahrukh Khan, along with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, started shooting in London on the 22nd of Feb 2012.

Above image is the first look of Shahrukh & Katrina on location.

This untitled movie will mark the coming together yet again of the award winning duo of the music maestro A. R. Rahman and the poet & lyricist, Gulzar.

The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release, the festive time when Yash Chopra movies over the years have lit up homes worldwide.”

Video: Neha Kakkar Writes ‘The Shahrukh Khan Song’

Fans, fanatics, stalkers, it all comes with the territory of celebrity fame. Shahrukh Khan has been a Bollywood hero and famous face for so long, he is probably used to the rush. Well I am not sure if SRK is ready for this as one fan has created an entire song dedicated to him!

The song is simply titled “The Shahrukh Khan Song” and sung by Neha Kakkar. The lyrics are clever and incorporate titles of Shahrukh films. Making sure we get the puns, the video includes lyrics in which film titles are showcased in a different font.

Though the whole thing may seem a joke to some, Neha has clearly put great effort into her SRK dedication.

Performances from the 57th Filmfare Awards

The 57th Filmfare Awards took place and we know all the winners, now let’s take a look at the performances.

The show’s first performers were the newlyweds Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza. The song choices are great, costumes are nice, but Genelia has no grace or swag so watching her was a bit painful. Luckily Riteish carried it off.

Deepika Padukone brings a ‘sexy’ performance with “Dum Maaro Dum” and “Subha Hone Na De.” The performance was a bit of the mess, stunts were sloppy. I am also not a fan of Deepika’s outfit.

Priyanka Chopra’s set is full of comedy, favorite songs, and lots of fun. I love her simple sleek outfit and her hair pulled back. I always cringe when Priyanka gets the spotlight, but this went quite well.

Comic relief and Bollywood’s hottest gal, Madhuri Dixit, bring the next segment…I can’t describe it, but I loved it. Madhuri is such a good sport.

Kareena Kapoor brings Cirque de Soliel elements to the beginning of her performance before it becomes a party with hits from her films Ra. One and Bodyguard. What’s up with the boots?

Next, last but not least, is King Khan, Shahrukh Khan. This man is a born performer and so charming. The show starts with stunts and ends with kids and it’s all mesmerizing.

‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ is ‘Most Iconic Film’

Filmfare Magazine’s February 2012 cover has a retro Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in celebration of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge being names the most iconic film of all time. I agree, I’m ecstatic, now I want to watch the film again.

Video: Arjun Remixes ‘Ra.One’s’ ‘Chammak Challo’

Artists are getting clever when it comes to attracting traffic on the internet. When “Why This Kolaveri Di” went viral, everyone and their mom posted their own edition on YouTube capitalizing on its success. Arjun was one of the acts to follow the trend. After hitting over 3 million views on that clip, Arjun now remixes Akon’s song “Chammak Challo” from Shahrukh Khan’s movie Ra.One.

I won’t hate on Arjun’s remixes as they are well done, but the trend hasn’t been bringing us the best quality tracks.

Shahrukh Khan Takes Attention in ‘Mujhko Pehchaanlo’

Don 2: The Chase Continues seems to release a couple of new teasers a week. The latest look is at the song “Mujhko Pehchaanlo” which is all about Shahrukh Khan and his action sequences.

Don Says 9

Here is episode 9 in the “Don Says” series promoting Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2: The Chase Continues.

Don 2: The Video Game

Shahrukh Khan is expanding the franchise of each of his actions films into the gaming industry. SRK’s next flick, Don 2: The Chase Continues, is getting its video game counterpart and we are getting our first look.

With car chases and shootouts, the video has a lot to offer, but will it compare to the favorites like Halo or Call of Duty?

Don Says Edition 8

Leading up to the release of Don 2: The Chase Continues, we have gotten our regular theatrical trailer and music videos. Standing out from the pack, Don 2 has a collection of the film’s dialougues. The “Don Says” series has hit edition 8.

I am not a big Shahrukh Khan fan or keen on catching Don 2, but his classic facial expression and charm come through in this episode of “Don Says” so I was moved to a smile.

This film stars Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, and Kunal Kapoor among others. Shahrukh Khan has given each of his leading ladies a clip to shine in outside of the trailers. First we caught Lara Dutta in “Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo.” She’s dressed in a short, gold dress. Immediatley I thought of Kareena Kapoor in Don when she wore a long, gold gown in “Yeh Mera Dil.” I think Lara looks better out of the two looks. The music video has some less than originally choreography, but on-screen it looks impressive.

Priyanka was spotted in “Dushman Mera.” The scene opened with Piggy Chops in an electric blue flowing dress and all focus on her body language. Shahrukh Khan comes in and steals the spotlight with craft choreography including a handkerchief. Then the clip ends on a slightly awkward yet passionate note.

There is plenty of Don 2 material circulating on the web giving something for fans to till the film’s Christmas release. Whether you prefer music or impressive dialouge it’s all there. I’m still not convinced that I need to go out and catch this flick.
