We have all been focused on the trailer for Karisma Kapoor’s comeback film Dangerous Ishhq. Now our attention shifts gears to Himesh Reshammiya’s music. The song in the spotlight is “Naina Re” featuring Shreya Ghoshal, Himesh Reshammiya, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
I am not a fan of Himesh Reshammiya, but I do like this song. The balance of Shreya and Rahat on the track make listening to Himesh bearable.
Dangerous Ishhq tells the story of a supermodel who is on a search for her husband who disappears due to mysterious circumstances. While the plot and trailers still have me puzzled, I am all down to support Karisma’s comeback this May.
Himesh Reshammiya’s Diwali release Damadam is heavy in promotions right now. This time we get to see clips of the movie all to the title song “Damadam Mast Kalandar.”
The song shows us the nagging girlfriend and then all the ladies Himesh casually hangs out with. The song is okay, clip is nothing too new or exciting. I still don’t know what Himesh was thinking when he decided to go up against Ra.One‘s release.
Himesh Reshammiya is back and taking charge with Damadam. Himesh will been as the film’s star, he is the mind behind the music, and the vocalist behind the tunes.
The movie, once titled Ishq Unplugged, tells the story of Sameer who is involved in a relationship with a needy girl. His girlfriend always asks countless questions but claims she trusts her boo. Thanks to a family wedding, the girlfriend heads outta town and Himesh is all alone and loving it!
The music video today is for “Madhushala” and the terrible choreography had me hit stop in a heartbeat.
Himesh Reshammiya does it again! Bollywood music producers are always under fire went it comes to “taking inspiration” from music. We see it as copying, yet they get away with it.
The latest track under scrutiny is the hit “Teri Meri” from the film Bodyguard. The music has been done by Himesh Reshammiya and sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghosal. The film has broken all sorts of box office records catapulting the music to the top of the chats and keeping it there. I admit I LOVE “Teri Meri” and wish that Sonu Niigaam sang is because Rahat is screaming while Shreya is soft and demur. (If you didn’t already know this about me, I love to recast films and reassign tracks to artists I prefer).
Teri Meri:
Back to the copycat issue at hand… “La Betheleem colo-n Jos” is a carol done by Cleopatra Stratan who is recognized as the youngest person to hit commercial success as she was only three! Originally from Moldova, this singer featured “La Betheleem colo-n Jos” on her 2009 Christmas album.
I hear the similarities between the songs and know that Himesh has been accused of the same crime before which is why this doesn’t surprise me one bit.
La Betheleem colo-n Jos
From Hollywood remakes to Bollywood remakes and now sequels and international music Hindi cinema needs to get original!!
The latest music promo from Himesh Reshammiya’s flick Damadam is the song “Umrao Jaan.”
The song could have been good but there’s one part where the lyrics are “no touching, no touching, only seeing, only seeing.” Keep it in the script people! “Umrao Jaan’s” costume is pretty, well better than I expected. You can decide for yourself.
