Madhuri Dixit Signs ‘Dedh Ishqiya’

Madhuri Dixit got married and made a big move to the United States, now she has moved her family back to Mumbai so she can step back into her film career. The wait is over for Madhuri’s comeback film as this actress has confirmed that she will be starring in Dedh Ishqiya.

Keeping up with the times, Madhuri revealed the news on Twitter. She shared, “Hey guys, back in action. On set for Star’s Life OK. Am doing Dedh Ishquiya . Jhalak right around the corner. More to come!” There has been quite a bit of speculation into Madhuri signing the film, this news comes as a pleasant surprise.

Dedh Ishqiya is a sequel to the 2010 release Ishqiya. The original film starred Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Arshad Warsi. The film was a milestone performance by Vidya Balan. When conversation of a sequel began, the nation doubted that anyone could top Vidya. Of course once Madhuri’s name was thrown into the pile,there is hope for a success part II.

We have all been focused on the trailer for Karisma Kapoor’s comeback film Dangerous Ishhq. Now our attention shifts gears to Himesh Reshammiya’s music. The song in the spotlight is “Naina Re” featuring Shreya Ghoshal, Himesh Reshammiya, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

I am not a fan of Himesh Reshammiya, but I do like this song. The balance of Shreya and Rahat on the track make listening to Himesh bearable.

Dangerous Ishhq tells the story of a supermodel who is on a search for her husband who disappears due to mysterious circumstances. While the plot and trailers still have me puzzled, I am all down to support Karisma’s comeback this May.

Video: Dhanush in ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’

2011 was quite a year as Dhanush’s “Why This Kolaveri Di” become the number one song of the year all around the world with its viral success.

The song was leaked through a video session. The song belongs to the Tamil film 3 starring Dhanush and Shruti Hassan. With the Tamil film now on-screen, we get to see the actual music video. We see Dhanush on a beach side bazaar acting out the song.

The music video had to live up to expectations and I think the treatment and Dhanush’s swag are perfect.

I am not a fan of the track but salute its impact on the world.

Sunidhi Chauhan Sings ‘Tezz’ Title Song

We’ve been drowning in love songs and now it’s back to the action in Tezz. Sunidhi Chauhan lends her vocals to this song and kills it, of course.

The music video pulls together so many clips of the movie, it’s almost like we’ve seen it all now.

The film stars Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut, Zayed Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Sameer Reddy.

Celina Jaitley’s Twins Join Twitter

Ridiculous! Celina Jaitley and Peter Haag welcomed two baby boys into the world two weeks ago and now mommy dearest and managing two Twitter accounts for her boys.

Celina tweeted, “On their two-week birthday, we presented our sons with their TwitterIDs @winstonjhaag (Winston J Haag) and @viraajjhaag (Viraaj J Haag)… So stay tuned for baby talk.”

Not wasting any time, Celina has already tweeted on behalf of her boys.

Viraaj has tweeted, “Hmmm, what will I do first when I grow up? Maybe I should try to repaint my dad’s car orange… #innovation” and “Just realized that my dad’s car keys are placed next to my cot. I wonder when I will get my driving license. #thoughtoftheday”

Brother Winston shares, “First Santa Claus and now the Easter Bunny… Ya right!…They think I was born just yesterday… #easter” and “I am wondering where the baby girl with the pink bow from the hospital nursery is… #loveatfirstsight”

The tweets are clever, but the concept is still ridiculous.

Video: ‘Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua’ From ‘Dangerous Ishhq’

Karisma Kapoor is making her comeback in Dangerous Ishhq and the film is in full promo mode. We just saw the film’s first trailer and now we are getting the first music video: “Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua.”

The video stars Karisma and her on-screen lover Rajneesh Duggal. The emotional song features the vocals of Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and Tulsi Kumar already making it B’wood buzz. Vikram Bhatt’s film is a love thriller in which Karisma is supermodel who ends up looking for her husband who disappears under mysterious conditions.

The music video, however, focuses on the passionate love the couple shares and the costumes, hair, and make-up make this clip. I am still confused about the storyline, but hope to catch this film and support Karisma’s return to the big screen.

We just saw the love story of Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut in “Tere Bina” for the film Tezz and now we get to see it again with a new song, “Main Hoon Shab.” Shoot one video, release two songs…don’t appreciate it.

Video: Amitabh Bachchan Stars in ‘Department’

Amitabh Bachchan heads back to the silver screen as a politician in Department.

Amitabh’s character is Sarjerao Gaikwad, a gangster turned politician. Department, a Ram Gopal Varma movie, is based on the Anti-Terrorist Squad created to eliminate the mafia. The film explores the power struggle within the police department and with the tagline, ‘Justice is their crime’ now has people trying to connect the on-screen characters with real life cops. Varma is denying all comparisons.

Department also stars Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati.

Trailer: Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Star in ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’

Priyanka Chopra teams up with ex-beau Shahid Kapoor in the film Teri Meri Kahaani, and we get our first dose of this love story with a new trailer.

The story tells the tale of love in three time periods: 1910, 1960, and 2012. With each era we have a new location, Lahore, Mumbai, London. What remains constant are the stars and their undeniable attraction.

While the film looks great and a love story is always needed in Bollywood, filmmaker Kunal Kohli is already getting accused of copying an Asian film, which he is denying. With no real law suits or action being taken on this front…I’m moving on.

Bollywood has had a lot of talk about the ex-couple on-screen. As you may be aware, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have not been mature enough to reach this stage in their relationship. In fact, they still avoid each other in every regard. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, follow in Shahid and Priyanka’s steps as they have a summer release together.

As for Teri Meri Kahaani, film looks sweet, Shahid is gorgeous, and the crowds will flock to cinemas for all things Bollywood.
